DragStrip 3.7 Aladdin will be posting DragStrip 3.7 to its web site today. "DragStrip is a full-featured application that allows users unlimited flexibility in organizing and accessing frequently used files and applications. It helps to eliminate desktop clutter and repeated searches in disks, folders, and on the Internet, by placing drag-and-drop modifiable palettes on the desktop. A palette can easily handle a user's files, folders, applications, and URLs all in one location."

Spring Cleaning update installation problems Several readers have reported problems installing the Spring Cleaning 3.0.1 update. R. E. Kramer resolved this by doing a clean reinstall of version 3.0 and then immediately applying the update. More generally, we have received this note from Aladdin:

The Spring Cleaning 3.0.1 Updater searches the desktop database to find a copy of Spring Cleaning 3.0 to update. If the desktop database is corrupted, the Spring Cleaning Updater may report, "Spring Cleaning was not found. This updater requires Spring Cleaning to be installed before updating." If users encounter this problem they should rebuild their desktops before running the updater again.
