AirPort Extreme Update 2007-003 released: Improves WPA, WPA2 connectivity

CNET staff

Apple has released AirPort Extreme Update 2007-003, an update for Mac OS X systems with AirPort Extreme hardware that apparently improves connectivity with WPA and WPA2-encrypted networks.

The release notes state only:

"This update is recommended for all Intel-based Macintosh computers and includes compatibility updates for certain third-party access points configured to use WPA or WPA2 security."

The new release is available through Software Update or as a standalone 3 MB download. (We recommend using the latter, and the steps outlined in our guide "Applying system updates: A minimalist approach.").

Problems after applying this update? Please let us know.
