Today we have several additional items on yesterday's release of AirPort 2.0 (also see previous):

PPPoE, DHCP and Client ID follow-up Tony Quan writes: "Note that the AirPort Base Station 1.3.1 firmware also supported PPPoE and DHCP client IDs."

VPN remains unfixed Joshua Ochs writes: "The Airport Base Station still does not support VPN connections when used as a router (it only works when used as a simple bridge). This issue has been around for what seems like forever. In a nutshell, the VPN fails to complete authentication and closes the connection."

Update: Julian Koh adds: "As a counterpoint, the Cisco 5000 VPN client for Mac OS X and Mac OS 9 works great when going through an Airport Base Station in router (NAT) mode. Obviously you have to make sure you turn on NAT Transparency mode so that the IPSec packets and properly traverse the NAT boundary, but that's about it."

Additional docs David Duke writes: "The AirPort installer (under Mac OS 9.x only) also installs several helpful PDF files in the AirPort folder, including Designing AirPort Networks and Networks2." This may have been present in previous installers, we are not sure. The documents can also be obtained on Apple's Web site.
