Base Station firmware upgrade info Stand-alone versions Stand-alone downloadable versions of AirPort 2.0.4 are now available for both OS X and OS 9. As previously noted, the OS X version requires both OS X 10.1.5 and Networking Update 1.0 be installed. Note: A stand-alone version of Networking Update 1.0 is now also available.

Base Station upgrading As with most AirPort updates, if you have an AirPort Base Station, the installation is not complete until you also update the Base Station firmware. To do this, you must launch the AirPort Admin Utility and select to Configure the Base Station.

Alasdair Archibald adds the firmware update goes to version 4.04 on a Snow Base Station, but only to 3.84 on a Graphite Base Station. We can confirm that on our graphite model, the firmware was upgraded to only 3.84.

Indeed, the AirPort KB document states: "This update is primarily targeted at Snow (dual-Ethernet) base stations. This update does not provide any new Graphite Base Station functionality."
