Agfa ScanWise and ColorSync 2.6: a follow-up

CNET staff
Regarding problems with ColorSync 2.6.x and Agfa ScanWise 1.01 on a USB Mac (reported last time):
First note that ScanWise is "the new super-intelligent software bundled with the SnapScan 1212p and SnapScan 1212u scanners starting in May." Several readers wrote to say that they do not have the reported problem. But, at least in some cases, they may not have been using the new software.

Meers Bernard suggests a work-around: Redefining your System Profile using the "ColorSync" or the "Monitors & Sound" control panel fixes the problem. The problem is that ScanWise currently can not handle ColorSync profiles that reside in a ColorSync subfolder. If your ScanWise does not work, you probably have a profile selected that resides in the "Display Profiles" folder in your ColorSync folder. Make sure your selected system profiles is in the ColorSync Folder and not in a subfolder. The alias can be in the "Display Profiles" folder but the real profile has to be in the "ColorSync Profiles" folder itself.
