Adobe has released InDesign CS2 4.0.1, working to address a number of the performance issues that have been reported here on MacFixIt in the past few weeks (see articles 1, 2 and 3).

Complete release notes are as follows:

"Provides key fixes in the areas of text and fonts, scripting, inline graphics, InDesign Interchange (INX) files, German hyphenation, XML, library files, performance, and others. This installer also includes updates from the Central European Dictionary update (posted in May 2005), which provides hyphenation and spelling support for seven Central European languages: Romanian, Slovenian, Croatian, Estonian, Lithuanian, Latvian, and Bulgarian. Note that the dictionary update is no longer available separately."

The InDesign CS2 4.0.1 update is available as a standalone 37.7 MB download.

Adobe also issued an accompanying update to InCopy, the collaborative editorial component of the CS2 suite, which the company says likewise "provides key fixes in the areas of text and fonts, inline graphics, German hyphenation, performance, and others.

The InCopy CS2 4.0.1 update is available as a 35.6 MB standalone download.
