Adobe Photoshop 5.5 AltiVec Plugins 5.5 is only for those who use Adobe Photoshop 5.5 on an Apple G4 Macintosh computer. It improves speed and has a couple of bug fixes.

PowerLogix compatibility PowerLogix has announced compatibility of their G4 upgrades with the newly-posted Adobe AltiVec filters for Photoshop 5.5. Prior to now, only owners of PowerMac G4s had access to these special AltiVec enhanced filters and plug-ins. Now, anyone with a PowerLogix G4 upgrade can also optimize their Photoshop performance by downloading these updated filters.

"Enable plug-ins" glitch J.P. Kelly writes: "According to the ReadMe file that comes with these updated plug-ins, you should add a "~" to the folder to enable it: 'Enable the Enable Async I/O extension by renaming the folder called "Enable Async I/O" to "~ Enable Async I/O.' However, the opposite appears to be true, as confirmed by the ReadMe files in the plug-in folder that was originally installed.
