Adobe InDesign Undo Failure

Adobe InDesign Undo Failure

CNET staff

Several posters on Adobe's discussion boards are reporting problems using the "undo" command in the latest release of InDesign. One user writes:

"After trying to synchronize documents, InDesign got stuck and I had to force close the program. Ever since the 'Undo' function doesn't work reliably (every once in a while it works). Sometimes I just can't select it and sometimes it comes up as Undo Synchronize pages (when the last thing I did was delete something I want back). If I select Undo Synchronize Pages it goes into period of thinking that continues on and on until I finally force the program closed. I tried renaming and resaving all the files, but nothing is restoring the Undo."

UPDATE: Ron Pfister reports that using Apple's Disk Utility to repair permissions may resolve the Adobe InDesign Undo bug on some systems:

"A client of mine has just had the InDesign Undo problem under Mac OS X 10.2.1, and running Repair Disk Permissions in the First Aid tab of Apple's Disk Utility solved it."
