Users have been experiencing Safari crashes (in some cases full system crashes) that seem to be related to Adobe's Flash Player. Crashes happen at various times when loading Web sites containing Flash elements.
From Apple Support Discussions user olGrr:
"I have the same problem as mentioned above when playing flash video, only in my case, the OS freezes up totally and the mac needs to be rebooted by holding the power button. It does not crash on every flsah movie though, just when it feels like it i guess. I thought it was a safari problem at first, i removed safari and installed firefox. I also tried upgrading to the newest flash version."
Several users, as well as Adobe, recommend using the Flash uninstaller to get rid of the potentially defunct software and download a fresh install from Adobe.
It is also recommended that you repair disk permissions using Apple's Disk Utility on Mac OS X.
Other suggestions including repairing your disk using the Mac OS X Install Disk.
From Apple Support Discussions user wb364:
"had the same problem round 1 week ago, try to :Some users also recommend downgrading your Flash Player to version 9.
Go to Safari menu and "Reset Safari" check all the checkboxes,
Open Finder and search for "com.apple.Safari.plist"
Uninstall Adobe Flashplayer
Delete Adobe Flashplayer and Adobe Flashplayer Folder
Then empty Trash
-> Restart CLOSE Safari and close all other open Applications too.
Reinstall Adobe Flashplayer
Can't promise that this works for everyone but it worked for me."
