Adobe Creative Suite 3 (#3): Problems installing CS2 applications in presence of CS3 applications
Users may need to uninstall all CS2 applications before CS3 installation can take place.
Problem: Adobe CS2 applications cannot be properly installed after installation of Adobe CS3 applications has taken place.
Fix: Uninstall Adobe CS3 applications temporarily using the included uninstaller, then install CS2 applications, and subsequently re-install the CS3 applications.
Reader report(s):
MacFixIt reader Andy Kappy writes:
"I needed Acrobat and InDesign from CS2 for certain plugins that are not yet compatible with CS3. After the CS3 install, CS2 wouldn't install Acrobat and InDesign. I then used the CS3 uninstaller to remove just those two applications, which allowed me to finally re-install those two from CS2 and then re-install those two Applications from CS3. (This last with fingers crossed, as Adobe support had advised me to completely uninstall CS3, then install CS2, then re-install CS3)."
