Adobe confirms issue with JavaScript functions in GoLive 4.0

CNET staff
Last time we reported a problem in Adobe's GoLive 4.0: "JavaScript rollovers created in previous versions of GoLive (CyberStudio) did not work after the document containing the component was opened and saved in the new Adobe GoLive 4.0 version." Adobe has now replied on this matter. It confirms the problem and explains how to resolve it:
GoLive 4 requires that the JavaScript functions be written to an external file whenever components use JavaScript [Button Image (rollover), URL Popup, or Actions].

For pages yet to be made, this can be set in the Preferences > LiveObjects > Import CSScriptLib. (Use the Rebuild button whenever you add new Actions - such as "Actions Plus 1.0.")

For existing pages, open the HTML tab of the Page Inspector for each component and for each page that uses a component. Click the button at the bottom of the page: "Settings to use Page as a Component." This will set all the options so the page can be used as a component or so it can use components.
