Adobe confirms GoLive problem can be fixed with font bug fixers

A reader writes that "Adobe has finally admitted that the Adobe GoLive 4 PDF file crash issue (see previous MacFixIt Reports, a and b) may be resolved with the font fixing utilities from Alsoft and DiamondSoft (covered here before)." An Adobe Tech Support representative wrote: "It's not an official prescribed fix...(but)...many GoLive users have reported that installing one of the utilities does indeed prevent the PDF Module crashes with GL4 under Mac OS 8.6, and our own testing seems to confirm this. We're still investigating the problem, but anyone experiencing the crashes would be wise to try installing one of the FOND fixers. . . Apple is working on an 'official' fix for the problem, which will be released in due course."
