Acrobat Reader 4.0 coming soon (readers complain); After Effects 4.0 is out

Adobe has announced Adobe Acrobat 4.0, its software for creating a reading PDF documents. It's not yet shipping. However, a preview version of the Acrobat Reader is already available. (Thanks, Version Tracker.)

Several readers (including Paul Leber and Ronald Guest) have complained that, as the FAQ for Acrobat 4.0 reveals, most of the new features (such as directly converting a Web page to a PDF file) will only be available for the Windows version.

Adobe also announced the availability of After Effects 4.0.
