Let there be rock on iOS: Aussie rock god AC/DC's full back catalogue has finally gone digital.
Australian rock legend AC/DC has been one of the big hold-outs against selling digital versions, always worried that single song sales would destroy the album format.
In fact, back in 2008, Brian Johnson said:
Maybe I'm just being old-fashioned, but this iTunes, God bless 'em, it's going to kill music if they're not careful. It's a ... monster, this thing. It just worries me. And I'm sure they're just doing it all in the interest of making as much ... cash as possible. Let's put it this way: it's certainly not for the ... love, let's get that out of the way, right away.
Well, four years allows for a lot of time to think, obviously, because Acca Dacca will be selling the entirety of its back catalogue of music via iTunes. And we mean the entirety: 16 studio albums, four live albums and three compilation discs. In fact, big fans can dust off their cut-off denim jackets and brush off their mullets before spending either AU$149.99 on all the studios cuts or AU$229.99 on everything. And, yes, you can buy individual tracks.
