Just three of the digital comics released this week that you can read through Marvel Unlimited. Marvel

I've done it. I've gotten my hands on a high-level security code that will let you penetrate the Marvel Universe and capture its highest-asset superheroes.

OK, all I really did was a little bit of cyber-sleuthing to find out that the comics maker is offering its Marvel Unlimited subscription service at a great rate: 99 cents for a month. But that first version just sounded better.

The service, which grants access to over 15,000 digital comics, usually costs $9.99 per month, so this really is a "super" bargain. It's being offered in celebration of San Diego's Comic-Con International, which starts this week.

You might think you could just go to the Marvel site, click on the "Comics" tab, then the "Marvel Unlimited" tab, and "Shazam" (OK, I know that's DC, but it just kind of fit), to get the special rate. Nope.

Like Hydra hiding their dastardly plans to blow up Earth, Marvel made the special rate a little hard to find. But I'm here working at my covert laboratory under constant threat of discovery and vaporization to release it to the world. Ready? Here it is.

Just go to this website and use code SDCC14 (for San Diego Comic-Con, get it?) at checkout, and you'll be into the Marvel database like Black Widow slinking into a highly secured weapons depot.

Once you sign up, you can read the comics on your iOS or Android device through the Marvel Unlimited app, or you can get to it on your computer at the Marvel Unlimited website.

No. There's no need to thank me. Really. Just getting the information out there is enough reward for us cyber-sleuthing superheroes. (That, and my own 99 cent month of devouring comics!).
