Mobility and scallops marinated in truffle oil, anyone? Fine dining will be the reward for sticking through several hours of presentations next Friday at Sun Microsystems' Desktop and Mobile Town Hall.
The event is meant to brief analysts and the press about Sun's mobile strategy in 2005, and to launch an entirely new desktop product. Maybe not the most riveting of conferences, but those who tough it out to the end will be handsomely rewarded.
Lunch includes lightly tossed Californian Asparagus served with crème fraiche and aged balsamic vinegar, cheeses from southern France with candied walnuts and fresh seasonal fruits.
Then its onto the buffet of white Sancerre poached wild salmon filets with baby celery ribs and a fondue of shallots and sorrel, homemade tortellini filled with Swiss cheese, ricotta and brie served with a rosemary, lime and basil creamy sauce, plus whole free range chicken marinated in olive oil and south of France fresh herbs, a twist of lavender and cedar and served with its jus.
Ahhhh, the tough life.
