Pinterest is getting into the holiday spirit -- and holiday marketing -- today by launching a calendar that features a new holiday-themed board for the next 30 business days.

The calendar, dubbed "30 Days of Pinspiration," will run through the New Year. First up is TV show host and journalist Katie Couric with a board sharing her Thanksgiving traditions. It's all very warm and fuzzy.

"Every year for Thanksgiving, Katie and her family put together a great spread to celebrate their time together and give thanks," according to the Pinterest blog. "Katie's taken this opportunity to share her holiday favorites from years past as well as some fresh ideas for her upcoming feast."

Couric's board will be followed up by more celebrities, businesses, and nonprofits, according to Pinterest.

Pinterest is starting to focus more on how it can make money off its popular site, which lets users create visual bookmarks and arrange them on boards online. Pinterest recently launched business tools for the multitude of companies that have boards on the site in hopes of marketing to the its rapidly growing user base -- ComScore logged the site at 25 million visitors in September.

Other holiday pinners for the new calendar includes the NBA, the U.S. Marine Corps, Starbuck, party and lifestyle blogger Jordan Ferney, and celebrity chef Paula Deen. Here's betting Deen shares some of her favorite deep-fried holiday food recipes. Everything tastes better on a stick, right?
