The Swissmar Lugano Cheese Fondue Set
The Swissmar Lugano Cheese Fondue Set

While I enjoy fondue, I'm not a fan of most fondue sets. They rarely seem to have everything I need to eat melted cheese with my friends and someone always winds up using a table fork wrapped in a napkin.

With the Swissmar Lugano Cheese Fondue Set, you won't suffer from those problems: it's a nine-piece set that not only has six forks, but also includes a pot, a burne,  and a wrought iron rechaud. You can use the the fondue pot on any type of heat source, but it is not dish washer safe. The cast iron pot is enameled, which makes it much easier to hand wash, as well as easier to use to heat cheese or chocolate evenly.

The Swissmar Lugano Cheese Fondue Set is available in red, blue and black, although the pot is the only part of the set that has color. The pot can hold two quarts of cheese or chocolate--enough fondue for a group of six. With just a quick wash after you've eaten all the cheese,  you can use it to melt chocolate for dessert. The burner uses Swissmar's fire gel, which is relatively inexpensive--$6.95 for a pack of three gels. The fondue set costs at $79.99.
