A brief flash of 'Wikipornia'

For a few moments on Thursday, the Citizen Journalism event page for this weekend's Wikimania 2006 sported a porn image of a male orgy.

This was not a provocative yet journalistic nude image intended to convey a message of free speech. The image was of Justice Stewart's "you know it when you see" variety. A few minutes later, the Wikimania page was back to normal. An unsuspecting journalist wishing to link to more information on Wikimania 2006, however, would have temporarily led her readers to a very graphic image, along with a few profane utterances.

The Wikimedia Foundation was not immediately available for comment.
