A blingin' cell phone for Canadians

If you're a Canadian looking to make a fashion statement with your cell phone, and if that statement has anything to do with pink, wireless phone company Telus Mobility is ready to hook you up.

i833 by Motorola

Telus on Tuesday introduced the Baby Phat by Kimora Lee Simmons i833 by Motorola, available exclusively in Canada on Telus' Mike network. The limited-edition pink phone by the women's designer features the Baby Phat feline logo, a designer-inspired quilted texture and 0.4 carats of genuine diamonds adorning the external display. Think Paris Hilton school of fashion.

"I like everything with a heaping dose of femininity, including my cell phone," former model Kimora Lee Simmons, who co-founded Baby Phat in 1999, said in a statement. But pink bling-bling doesn't come cheap. The phone is available at Telus Mobility retail locations across Canada for $449.99 and up.

Baby Phat has made forays into gadget fashion before. In March, as part of a Sony invitational fashion show to pump up anticipation for the PlayStation Portable, the designer gussied up the game console in a gold case encrusted with seven carats of yellow and black diamonds.
