37signals is working on three more hosted applications which will bring the company onto Salesforce.com's turf.

Sunrise is a "CRM-ish tool for small business," according to a company description.

Jason Fried, president of 37signals, said on Wednesday that Sunrise is meant to be a simplified CRM style application which will help people to keep track of interactions with others.

For example, a person could input information after a meeting and create a reminder to revisit the subject of their conversation.

"It's kind of like a to-do list but all around people," said Fried.

The company intends to release it in December of this year or January next year, he said.

Next up on the product plans is a customer support application, Fried said.

"Everything we build, we build for ourselves," he said. "Right now, for customer support we use Gmail."
