20th Anniversary Mac sound fix coming?

Trevor Page reports that a solution to the previously reported buzzing sound problem with 20th Anniversary Macs may soon be at hand. "I just got off the phone with a contact at Apple Canada and a certifiable fix has been found and will be officially rolled out on September the 1st." I have not confirmed this.

Utilities Updates AppleShare IP 6.0 was announced. It should be available within the next week or so.

Netscape Communicator / Navigator 128 bit 4.06 is out.

GoMac v1.5v3 is out

SwitchRes version 1.4.1 is available. It adds Mac OS 8.5 compatibility.

Early Bird 1.1 is out. It's the latest version of a freeware Autostart worm scanner. It has more thorough cleanup of worms. "Early Bird has been found by several users to combat a certain strain of DELDB better than other choices."
