"Great NAS for beginners"
on by PetetheGreek88Pros Easy to use, 2 bay storage, price, supports RAID
Cons Takes a while to show up on my network when switched on, turned off on my once randomly, a little laggy when streaming 1080p via WIFI, but that may be due to router
Summary Overall good bang for your buck, filled with two 2TB drives and you got yourself a nice little setup
Writing is perfectly fine, not sure why others are complaining. FIll it with WD caviar black drives formatted for RAID 0 and you'll be all set to go. Writing an 8GB movie takes about 20 min via WIFI or 8 min via ethernet. Customer service isn't good, I had a bad experience with them too, they're just idiots but all info can be found on online forums, google search is your friend :)

"Junk and incompetent tech support."
on by jsl262Pros Return policy from online vendor If I receive my money back. I am taking a loss of about $20 in shipping.
Cons Slow performance and worst technical support I ever encountered.
Summary I had more frustration with this piece of s**t. I bought new D-link router keep the system compatible and it still wouldn't work. I will not ever purchase a d-link product again. I could not access over internet. I was told by tech support that it was my router. When I pointed out to tech 2 that I was trying a second router (linksys) I returned Dlink router to local store. The tech told me to contact linksys. I then decided to give up return the piece of garbage.
All my toys work perfect on my network except this defective NAS 320. Don't buy it.
I am so disgusted with D-LINK SUPPORT. -
"don't buy . is take two weeks to copy at full capacity"
on by afz78Pros 2 hdd option and nice design
Cons very low speed on write and read ( 1,3 mb) tested with wd 2tb 64mb and seagate 2tb. hdd on pc has 33-40 mb but in dns-320 has 1,3 mb max
Summary i buy this for the 2 hdd option but is the worst product i have tested. on my old product i copy with 8-10 mb and this is ..... if you have hdd with data don't put in dns-320 because will be formated in ext3 ( linux) and all data will be lost.
