The Viliv S7 got a whopping 8 hours and 16 minutes of battery life when using our video-playback battery drain test. That's well above average for a Netbook, and above and beyond any equivalent-size Netbook we've tested. In fact, it even comes close to the Asus EeePC 1101HA for the longest battery life we've seen in a portable (the 1101HA also has an Atom Z520 processor, incidentally). That's certainly a plus for this category of device. It's much better battery-wise than the tablet-like S5 and X70EX products.
