no built in microphoneSummary I got this laptop since my other one died. This one has a plastic feel it makes me feel irritated somehow. The volume is so low even at it's highest that i had to buy speakers for it. The DVD/ CD player makes so much bloody noise when there is a CD/ DVD inside so i couldn't watch movies until i bought an external cd/dvd player. I mean it's crap.
i love the widescreen and the battery life and the built in wifi but other than that it was a total and complete waste of my hard earned money. i wouldn't recommend it for anyone unless they want to spend an additional $200 bucks for the other stuff. I feel so annoyed by it, but i can't return it.
The lesson i learnt is never buy laptops with huge screens, that is because they are trying to make up for the crappy laptop by adding a huge screen. I am disappointed at how Toshiba could make such a laptop. i've always loved toshiba but they really messed up this time. -

Summary This is exaxtly what most comp users needs. Word procesor,email,photos. I dso not like expensive stuff because I have to care about it. My electronics era is over. Simplify.
