Pros Processor. Design. Trackpad/keyboard. Win7 is nice.
Cons Squeek-ers. But sound is good on headphones or external speakers.
Summary I am an experienced PC buyer and designer. I got one. Would get another. If I had an extra $500 I would spend it on something else, not a "better" laptop.
Pros it is perfect, very light, portable, battery is great, I have it for about a month and it is almost attached to me,
good friend for a business traveler.
Cons the keyboard- I don't like the sound, and keys are shiny little bit, but this is minor issue for me,
the sound- it is not good, not worst but not perfect
Summary this is real Macbook pro killer, fast, very portable
Pros Light weight
Good battery life
Cons Indicator lights at the bottom of the touch pad that are a tad distracting
Pros Reasonably priced. Very light and easy to carry. Runs programs relatively quickly (while Second Life lags terribly on this system, Grand Fantasia--an Aeria download mmo--runs quite well). The fan is relatively quiet.
Cons Screen is shiny and a little difficult to see in some lights--requires tilting. The shift key is a little sticky. The speakers really are not that great. The bottom gets rather hot.
Summary A note on the battery life:
While it's true that the battery life is very good, it wasn't quite the 8 hours advertised. There are two battery settings, Balanced and Eco. On Eco I get an estimate of about 5 hours (probably 6 if I pushed it, but I've never tried) while on balanced, I believe battery life is about 4 maybe up to 5 hours (I haven't experimented exactly, but I know it's shorter).
However, on Eco, programs run considerably more slowly. It's a good emergency option.
So the battery life is quite good, but I found it wasn't as epic as advertised.
Otherwise though, I really like this laptop. It was well worth the money.
Pros 640GB disk, 6GB memory and killer battery life were favorable compared to all other models. Best feature is the 3.2 lbs! I may not have the thin Air looks, but I've got a DVD and an extra $650 in my pocket!
Cons I would have preferred less screen glare and a back-lit keyboard, but those are small complaints.
Summary Just buy it!one more thing - there's a function key to quickly mute the speakers but none to adjust the volume. have to use the popup control.
