I have used this for 1 year. Right before my warranty ran out, several cracks developed on the housing near the power button although I never dropped or bumped it. Sony repairs asked for $280 to replace it. At that point I emailed Sony CEO Ryoji Chubachi and other executives of the company explaining my situation. Few minutes later Repairs called me back and agreed to repair it free of charge as I had the warranty. Shouldn't I be pleased with the service? :]

I thought this was gonna be a great notebook, it turned out to an ok notebook. I've had Sony Viaos in the past and there build quality was great saddly this isnt, 3 gigs of ram on vista is still a little slow, My headphone port went out 17 days after I bought it so I had to send it back to Sony, and they told me I dropped it when its been sitting on my desk the whole time and they wanted to charge my $637 to replace the motherboard, I said no so they sent it back, and voided the warrenty so I opened it up just to find out the headphone part wasnt on the main motherboard, and all I had to do was solder it back in place, Bottem line is Sony does support there own products, so I'm getting an HP and just giving this away
