Pros 1. Design (Sleek design)
2. Performance (3rd gen i7, 12GB RAM, 2GB nVidia)
3. Mobility (Just 2KG, Thin)
4. Entertainment (X-loud, Clear phase with Dolby Software)
5. Security (HDD G-Sensor, Finger print scanner)
6. Sharing (Blue-ray, USB3.0, etc)
Cons 1. Mr.Dan Ackerman mentioned that this notebook is expensive
2. The rating given by Cnet editor for such a great notebook.
Summary For this kind of versatile performance, the price & size of this notebook is AWESOME ! Mr. Dan Ackerman who reviewed this mentioned that its expensive. When people can afford to buy MacBook pro with less features than this, why can't they afford for a POWER PACKED notebook like this one ?!??
Pros Lightweight, Good Looking, it let me know from day one that it was a bad purchase.
Cons CAMERA is the worst.
Was looking for keyboard buttons that would allow for the most one hand command keys, like my Toshiba, for ex. being able to press home & end keys w/out needing to use two hands (minor, but matters when you are always in a hurry).
Summary This is a very poor product. The camera is horrible and that is the best thing I can say.
My touchpad, (mouse/pointer/cursor) went out the first week.
It crashed and blue screened for me too.
My screen resets its brightness settings on its own, after I set it to bright, (I can't see when it is dim).
I have had to have my hard drive restored on several occasions, causing me to lose files.
I have had to have my hard drive replaced, causing me to lose files.
Every issue causes a call to support that last at least 45 mins on average.
I am going to file a lawsuit under the consumer protection act is after sending a demand letter they fail to refund my money or replace this model with a new model and extend the warranty to cover that new model.
Pros Great form factor, at less than 4 1/2 lbs and less than an inch thick portability with this thing is great. It loads up a good mobile processor (true i7 4 core), room for more RAM, a decent HDD, and even great battery life.
Cons Poor speakers.
Wireless network card issues
Keyboard back-light can make keys difficult to read with a silver chassis.
Poor overall finish
Summary First, I have no idea why they even bothered to put speakers in. The speaks in this are so bad you have to have it up to 100% to hear it 2 feet away. Good luck trying to hear anything in a room bigger than a small bathroom.
I've been having a lot of issues with the wireless network card. It drops out periodically and the only way to fix it is to drop the network and reconnect.
The headphone jack is difficult and I have to carefully position the plug of any headphones I plug in. Sometimes it takes a feat of strength to remove the jack.
The fit and finish of the laptop is a little cheap. The touchpad doesn't line up quite right with the chassis, the lid is a little flimsy. I always makes me nervous opening it. Some of the keys are developing a squeak when I type.
This is the first Sony product I have bought in years, and is probably the last. I've had other brands of laptops, and while not quite as stylish or portable, they have always been o a higher overall quality.
Pros light, good specs and good screen
Cons always makes loud noise and overheats
Summary no more Sony for me
Pros light, fast, lights under keyboard, powerfull
Cons Type slow and hard or the keyboard won't take it...this is a serious problem with this machine...buy an external keyboard.
Alot of windows explorer crashes
Summary Ok....but too bad that keyboard sucks
