Summary Comparing this device's price to a tablet's is unfair. With the Chromebook you get a full browsing experience - full size keyboard, Flash Player, etc. It's made to browse the internet, and it does an excellent job.

"Just do it."
on by jimhinkyPros 5-7 sec boot up. No typical OS hassles. No bloatware. Someone finally tunred the Caps Lock key into something useful. A magnifying glass! This computer is a web browser with a dedicated processor. That's it. And how awesome is that?
Cons I must enter at least 10 characters. Does this count?
Summary I get where the reviewer is coming from. "Hey, look at all this other stuff you can get for the same price! A mature OS with a a bunch of software bundled with it!" But I think what he's missing is, "I don't want that other stuff. Can I get a computer whose components and computing power power are all fully dedicated to what I use a computer for MOST - namely interacting with the internet?" Yes you can. I have seen the future of connected devices, and Windows and OSX ain't in it. If you think you might be one of us, you probably are. Do it.

"Great little machine!"
on by CBF1969Pros Great clickpad
Comfortable keyboard
Improved Chrome OS
Much more powerful than the previous model
Outstanding battery lifeCons Limited off-line use
Backlit keyboard would be nice
Price could be a little lowerSummary This machine does just about anything a user could ask. Works well with all of Google's cloud services like Drive,Docs, and Music. Chrome OS seems to be getting better all the time. The hardware is also much better than the under-powered Samsung 5. In spite of the review, I highly recommend this laptop.

"Great performance and no updates to worry about!"
on by Colin-ScrogginsPros I love how fast and minimal it is! 95% of what I do with a computer is on-line, so this is perfect. The 550s have enough RAM and processor to handle everything I want without compromise. I have a MacBook Air and still use this a majority of the time.
Cons If you are looking to do stuff off-line, this is not the right computer for you, but that will change in the near future.
