Summary

The Samsung Series 5 Chromebook is perfect for sitting on the couch and surfing the web. I'm a math teacher, and Google Docs is fine for typing a test, though I don't know if it is suitable for professional use.

The new layout of the Chrome Web Store make browsing for apps fun.

Before you buy a chromebook, you need to analyze your computer use. I did and found that all of my computer time was spent online,so the Samsung Series 5 Chromebook has been a perfect fit for me.

"I highly recommend this item for most people"

4 stars  | on by Branrules101

Pros

Very thin, sleek design, outstanding battery life, high quality webcam, web-optimized function keys are very useful, 8-second startup is not a lie, touchpad works great, keyboard is very easy to type on an very well layed out.

Cons

Less than perfect speed performance, area between keys is smudged with fingerprints easily, long 15-minute update during initial setup, other than that... nothing

First of all, I am currently typing this review on my Silver Wifi-Only Chromebook. The keyboard is very nice, and it is really well layed out. The trackpad is phenomenal because it is quite large and is very nice to click on. You can enable tap-to-click in settings. Once you pick this thing up, it has a quite 'premium' feel to it. It is light, but does have a very nice weight to it that makes it feel great. The setup process was simple, and fast-however it took around 10 minutes to finish an OS software update. I took one star because to me it seemed quite sluggish in performance. It is fast once you get started but some things are very slow. Other than when loading web content, this machine is very fast when starting up and basically everything else. All of the web keys at the top (where the function keys usually would be) are very useful and I find myself using them more than the old function keys. The battery life is very nice as well, and I can use it off of the charger for a whole day before recharging. For those you are complaining about this device, this item DOES have a hard drive (SS for extra speed), you CAN use tap-to-click, and most people only use the web and NOTHING ELSE. Overall, this is an awesome product, if you are like me and do everything within the web browser, then this product will suit you just fine.
