ThinkPad Edge E420 is a solid, well built and durable business laptop that is suitable for SMBs and students, who require powerful and durable machine yet do not have big budgets.
The performance is slightly above average while the price range for this line of ThinkPad is not much higher than normal consumer laptops (or even lower)
What I particularly like about this laptop is the chiclet keyboard (a.k.a. island keyboard) that follows the trend of modern laptops, yet maintains the traditional ThinkPad keyboard quality.
This laptop is recommended to everyone, but E220s and E420s (slimmer and lighter version of E220 and E420) is recommended for users who frequently move around.
In conclusion, ThinkPad Edge E420 is pleasant to work with.
