Pros Nice crisp screen, condensed numeric keypad, and very rugged and dependable keyboard (I love these old-style keyboards)
Cons Too big, Intel 6100 processor is a low-budget dual-core processor (google it), not the fastest speed.
Summary Ok, I actually purchased two of these laptops before my final buy (a HP Pavillion dm4-1165dx). The first G560 I purchased was working great, I loved it... a match made in heaven. Until 3 days later, I got the blue screen of death! What to do?! I took it back, but loved the model, so I traded it for a second one. It was love at first sight AGAIN!!! Until 7 days later (luckily I was still under the 14 day return policy), I was showing it off to my coworker and they smelled burning rubber almost like if a car slammed on the brakes really hard. I checked, nothing. What could it be? Then, I sniffed the vent on the left side of the Lenovo, and guess what? Burning rubber smell. I took it back a few hours later and had it. I wanted my money back and insisted that the 15% restocking fee be waived, and it was. Don't get me wrong, I have had two IBM Thinkpads before, one after the other, so I was confident in Lenovo. But maybe the saying is true... you get what you pay for. I purchased the Lenovo G560 for $479, great deal, until it crashes or smells like burning rubber tires. Anyway, get something that has an Intel i Processor, minimum i3, please!!! Don't buy off brands and always play with it before you buy. Use the heck out of it while you are still under the 14-day return policy, and ALWAYS ALWAYS make sure the store has a backup product. Like if you have problems or just don't like the purchase you made, be sure the store will have another better model or a few which you may buy instead of getting the same model again... so you can avoid the hassle of the 15% restocking fee. Good luck!
Pros Built quite strong; survived 3 foot fall onto it's side with no major damage. [Accidental of course!]
VERY bright screen. Lowest setting is enough for basic use.
Very quiet SMART fan. Only turns on when needed, even then it is quiet.
Cons Volume buttons on keyboard not suitable for headphone use. It's either too loud, or it's turned off.
Not the best processor, but good for basic use. Can render 3D games only on low setting.
Facial recognition does not work AT ALL.
