  • "My experience ? its Awesome...."
    on by Iqubal_Singh

Pros Today i brought this laptop...my experience its Awesome in this price you will not find this kind of laptop..
with i5-2450M-2.50,4Gb Ram and 500 GB HDD its perfect..

Cons Look its not ugly and not more attractive its OK

Summary Go for performance not on look.

  • "FANTASTIC machine at this price-point"
    on by Psyllicon

Pros Comprehensive hardware, limited bloatware, all-around Wonderful tool for unassuming starter or basic, mobile use (far beyond what a Tablet can offer)

Cons apparently there is an issue with the screws in the chassis -- be aware of the possibility and be attuned to the issue should your system also start to lose screws. This could be crippling if you don't keep an eye out and correct the issue in time.

Summary No remorse having purchased the Lenovo -- and I've still got my eye open for them the next time around. I've learned that there can be potentially devastating shortcomings in the assembly process of even these systems though. Be aware and be prepared to use loctite ~!

NOTE: that review was written approx 5 mo's after purchase.. and the 'screw issue' was already starting. After the 6mo point, things got pretty ugly pretty fast.

Do yourself a favor before you even consider a Lenovo -- Google the terms "G570 screws"

There are an AMAZING number of people who have had this issue (and other issues much more severe) and feel that Lenovo has not offered sufficient support.

  • "Decent computer."
    on by Fooch007

Pros It runs. Start up time is good.

Cons Cheap plastic. Screws fell out the back after 1 month. Speakers are on the bottom of the laptop which is just stupid. Wears very easily. After 3 months, all keys show wear.

Summary I would buy another computer. However, I suppose if you get a good warrant like mine, replaceable for just about any issue, even if you damage it, then it may be worth the risk.

  • "Cheap price = cheap product."
    on by davidqatan

Pros Quick boot. Comes with a number pad. Onekey Recovery.

Cons Touchpad feels awful. Hinges will surely break down on the user. Very smudgy with fingers. Slow performance after first three months. Problems tend to arise when plugging in VGA or HDMI. Feels very cheap.

Summary A good computer if it is for a temporary use. It should probably be handed down or tossed out after a year, because it's performance slows down and everything starts to break. The hinges on my laptop snap, crackle, and pop. Screws come loose quickly and easily. It may seem like an economical choice, but you do want to get some kind of quality value for your money. Do not buy this computer. Trust me, there is a better computer than this. I have used computers of many brands all my life, and this is the worst one I have ever had. When Lenovo took over the PC division of IBM, that was the worst case scenario for the laptop reputation of IBM. If I were you, I would not buy any computer with the name "Lenovo" anywhere on it, but it is your call. If you're reading this review prior to buying a laptop, I suggest getting an Acer or Asus. Those are pretty decent laptops, but absolutely do not buy this Lenovo computer at all, and for your own sake, do not buy any Lenovo computer.
