Pros Large Screen, sound and movie controls at top of keyboard, 4 USB ports
Cons Touchpad postion, DVD drive unhinged keys
Summary Average of about 3 hrs life just running on battery. I love the large screen-you don't have to be a foot away to see the smaller print. I like the sound and movie controls on the top of the keyboard. Wireless switch on side. Like the 4 USB ports. That's where the good review stops. My father has had many HP computers and printers before, and highly recommended an HP for my first computer purchase. However, I have had nothing but trouble from the beginning. The dvd drive that was in it, wouldn't burn any dvds whatsoever and would only read a few. I tried different brands, +R/-R, nothing worked and for the first 8 mnths I had it, I had to use an external dvd drive. I took it in to get repaired, and now it has no problem reading or writting dvds, but it does make a very loud obnoxious sound whenever reading or writting. I don't like that the touch pad is not centered. I often end up mistakinly hitting the scroll bar. I have also had a problem with one of the keys becoming completely unhinged, even though I am very careful with my laptop. Operating with Vista with only the simple Microsoft Office and other basic programs, the amount of memory doesn't seem to be sufficient.
Pros the feature
Cons baterry life short
Summary all are going well and easy thats why i like it
Pros sleek design and light, love the keyboard and plug-ins, extra cd plate.
Cons battery life does seem short, but nothing major.
Summary For the price, and having success with HP products in the past, I'd purchase again.

Pros Good size
and a great price
Cons battery life sucks
Summary This computer is the best bang for your buck. I got it on sale from Best Buy for $599.99 so I had to get it. It is perfect for toting around since I'm a student and provide good multitasking performance and has enough space to handle my multimedia files. I would definitely recommend this to other people. But the battery life is the only drawback.
Pros --low price
--core2duo processor and 3 gigs of ram
--ABG WIFI is phenomenal
--250 HD for a lot of storage
--Runs at a decent temp
--12-cell battery available for purchase
Cons --Intel X3100 integrated graphics (typical at this price point)
--finger-print magnet (the outer casing and screen bezel).
--32-bit and not 64-bit Vista (although for some this is a pro...)
--The battery life is average but not extraordinary
Summary The price was excellent -- I have the office depot version, dv911us, which differs only in that the burner does not have LightScribe. It was $550 after rebates and before tax. For students, it can handle music and all multimedia well -- when your not studying, that is ;-) -- and it is very fast for Internet browsing and running Office programs. The WIFI is awesome. For serious gamers -- don't bother. I know CNET comments on less than stellar battery life -- and they're right -- but it's not the worst battery out there. I may buy the 12-cell battery for extended battery use.
