"Why is this being compared to a Mac book air?"
on by titan078Pros I have not used it you guys just need a comments section on reviews
Cons This review was poor.
Summary Macbook air has a full blown processor and a SSD for almost triple the price not double (450*3=1350 macbook with 128gb =1199). Thats like comparing a Nissan Z (36,580) to a GTR (89,995). Simply just silly. Please have this review be rewritten to take the bias out of it and compare it to something in its price point not what you like.
Ps if you swap the hard drive in ther for a Crucial RealSSD C300 your price would be at 700 and still not in the same ball park as a Mac book air. -
"Full PC experience in Netbook-like form factor"
on by asuphil94Pros 1080p video, outstanding battery life in a sleek form factor.
Cons I want to be able to walk into Best Buy and buy it NOW! Shouldn't be long though.
Summary Full disclosure -- I am AMD employee. In his review, Dan comments on the use of VISION Technology rather than "Fusion" -- I'd like to explain a bit about why we made this decision. For people that follow tech closely, it's easy to rhyme off the feeds and speeds of the latest components and have it all make sense. The reality is that for many people looking to buy a computer, deciphering all the detailed system specs can be a challenge and they don't communicate what experience that PC will deliver. AMD introduced VISION Technology to get away from the old way of marketing computers to instead focus on the experience the system delivers, letting you know if that system is ideal for editing videos or watching your favorite shows online or simply surfing the Internet. The detailed technical specs are still available for those that want them, but AMD believes that the industry needed to do a better job explaining to people what they can expect from a computer before they make the purchase

"Great laptop - Works well as a super-netbook"
on by clamkePros excellent battery life
plays basic and older high-end games well
plays Netflix and other video streams very well
good screen
looks good for priceCons not a big fan of touch pad, mainly the integrated buttons which are a little hard to push compared to other laptops I have
fan can get a little noisy at times, only in a quiet room, not too annoyingSummary This is just a great laptop for the price and function. You'd have to pay a lot more to get something else as fast, light, and with good battery life. AMD and HP have hit a home run with this machine.
I got this for my son who's been waiting for a laptop for awhile. He wanted something small and light with good battery life and good sound. He plays light games such as Wizard 101 and online flash games as well as watching Netflix on it. He's very happy with it and I'm impressed as well. I have a Galaxy Tab I carry with me and am considering getting one of these for the great battery life, small size and better usability (for writing and web page reading) than a tablet.
I am a software developer and wouldn't use this as my main PC, but as a mobile PC that lasts all day on battery, it's tough to beat. I'd even take this on trips since it gives you everything you need unless you need to do serious engineering or creative work. -
"Portable, responsive, powerful, perfect"
on by whirtyPros Fast dual boot, responsive, good video, wireless n, HDMI & vga out, ethernet, good sized keyboard and touchpad.
Cons Touchpad is multitouch sensitive, takes some getting used to
Summary HP may have come across the perfect size for laptops. Truely portable and thin, but with a screen, keyboard, and touchpad large enough for everyday use. The new AMD chip is responsive and efficient, with excellent battery life. This is a perfect companion for working and notetaking. The included dual boot entertainment-focused version of linux is handy.

"Best of all my laptops"
on by burnall2202Pros Is not heavy
really bright screen
Long lasting battery
Comfortable keyboardCons The touchpad is a little bit wide, you may accidentally put the cursor in the wrong place when you write
Battery monitor only indicates the battery percent, but not the remaining time. This is not a problem, HP mini also does tooSummary I like it, I mean it you get everything you may need (except the optical drive!) in a small, but not tiny computer, I had an acer one and compared to this, acer's nothing, I'm serious this computer is a good option, is fast and really portable without implying that you have to work on a small screen, actually, for a student like me, is nice because you don't need it just for presentations, and things like that, it is also capable for multimedia tasks, without the need of using an external screen. The sound is good, I compare this PC with a macbook air btw, both of then are nice options (yeah i know they're really different). the only thing I don't like is the fact that you cannot buy a bigger capacity battery because of its desing, because the way it opens it's like a macbook pro, so you may have an idea of how it looks like and why you cannot put a bigger capacity battery.
