Pros fantastically durable casing, awesome size and weight
Cons no built-in wireless, and so-so battery
Summary I'm in sales at a small local computer retailer, and had the opportunity to pick up the N610c at a fantastic price.
The last laptop I had was one I bought back in 2003 (most likely when this one was new)
from Dell, it was 2.1 celeron, 20g hd and I paid in around $1500.
This one is well faster, much smaller, much lighter, etc.
For a four-five year old laptop, I am ever so impressed on its performance.
Pros pritty good performance, cheep
Cons does get a little too hot, cd drive didnt even work with mine
Summary i got this model 2 days ago and so far i like it. It runs all my applications decently and web works great. the only thing i dont like is my CD drive isnt working at all but other then that its great. just a bit scared about the HD failures i heard about.
Pros light, cheap, touchpad and eraser, fast.
Cons HDD killer, only 2 USB, runs hot
Summary If you live in a hot climate or want to do CPU intensive tasks you may find your harddrive heating past 60 degrees centigrade - toshiba OEM hdds will clunk and die and hitachi OEMS tend to work only when they heat up after suffering from this computer ( I have been through 5 HDDs) I always allow massive fan room , my only suggestion is to buy a Hitachi 30Gb 4200rpm EnduraStar Extreme 2.5 Inch 8Mb Cache which is rated to +85 degrees (185oF) model# HEJ423030F9AT00, my nice Hitachi HDD I brought takes the heat and works wonderful, only thing is the cost of the HDD
Pros Light, Nice display, CarePAQ garanty, Dockingstation (except the USB from it)
Cons Very noisy when getting just a little warm, Battery, Less USB ports, Not for nowdays games,
Summary Nice laptop for light work, not pretty good for Photoshop and Flash; laptop gets noisy and slow. But on average a very affordable laptop!
Pros I found a place with kick-ass prices to upgrade
Cons Girlfriend has better laptop then me. LOL
Summary I do not work for this site but i spent alot of time finding the best site (prices and right parts) to upgrade this comp.
