Cons Webcam works intermittently. HP service has failed to address and won't replace.
Summary An attractive package and good feature set in an ultrabook. Intermittent webcam functionality has been a problem since day 1. Computer has been returned to HP twice, and they have been "unable to replicate the problem", doing nothing more than "clean and bench test". Offered a portable webcam, but refusing to replace the computer since it is past the 21-day window, despite presence of problem since beginning. Hp is lost as a company. Stay away.

"Poorly made laptop"

Cons Flimsy lid and DOA webcam.
Summary Webcam has never worked properly. It disconnects every time I touch the lid which makes the usb-disconnect warning sound. I had to disable it in the device manager. Did not try to contact HP about the issue. However, Ive been a huge HP fan for many years and this is hugely disappointing. You buy a state-of-the-art laptop and you expect it to come with a working webcam. Pure junk.

"The XT laptop meets my needs for creative writing."
on by ptljjPros I was attracted to the XT's weight, I5 Ivy Bridge, ample port arrangement, lighted keys, quick start, two year warrantee and WiDi. The simple look is attractive and easy to keep clean.
Cons Mouse pad behaves unusually. The black frame makes it difficult to know where the screen and frame meet. I should have waited for the touch screen.
Summary I can easily bring this laptop everywhere. The battery usually gets me through the days meetings and travels. The cloth cover keeps the surfaces scratch free. I am pleased with this purchase.
