I like the price of the unit, looks great! Big screen is nice; had Dell flat screen 20" before on HP System. I played a Redbox rental, pretty good, put in home Sony DVD + Bravia Flat screen, very comparable! Setup was pretty simple, the internet require
Big Screen, but so far don't like the aspect ratio of if, too wide, and not enough height, not a game breaker. The key board is a total nightmare; keys are flat, difficult to get fingers centered, the keyboard is offset to the right, hence the first day

Fairly computer literate, I like the carbon fiber black semi-matte finish; hopefully will hide scratches and marks in the long run versus a shiny finish, replaces long line of Dell laptops, and an early IBM Thinkpads used industrially on job. As a young engineer, had to have the latest of any electronic product. Age has tempered that desire and now I wait to see what will get the job done at a cost effective manner. Research and an Iphone determined that the Ipad2 would not fill the bill for the amounts of research I do and the capability to archive datum is paramount. I use HP Simple Save 1T system, great. This is the lightest laptop I've ever owned or used. Issued a Sony Vaio at work, light, great power, but could not handle required security software; so recalled. Back to Dell. Also hopefully the knurled surface with allow me to grip it better; as now retired, like to ditch the cord and converter around house especially, and for wife to view movies and stuff while traveling. My telephones have been my Mobile Juke Boxs, still use CD Player in cars, but neat to be able to carry majority of music in phones, hence Blackberry's until Iphone and My Touch, both bought in the past three months, still new to game. I believe that we will be able to load up U Tube Vids for my wife and pipe audio thru my Deville car sound system; it sounds great already with phones. I believe so far that I have made a most excellent purchase and since I have been an HP Fan since the initial little pocket calculators; they are a known good product with pretty good support, seldom needed thankfully. This makes my system pure HP/Altec Lansing; another known good entity of my stereo genre. As I have only had this system for two days; I will be adding additional periferal items, HP DVD 1170 later in the evening and a $39 wireless router. Will give follow up on how simple system integration is, so far done it all myself, I always look for ease of use and RAM data. Glad I bought this system!!
