"Great combo of features for the price."
on by mda2512Pros Just about everything considering the price.
Cons The exterior is prone to fingerprints. So?
Summary Can't go wrong here. I got this for my girl and all she does is itunes, web surfing, word processing and pictures. Works flawlessly so far.

"Not a bad laptop"
on by mcmxlPros Has all the basics-nice bright screen, DVD/CD R/W, good keyboard layout, decent HD, good amnt of RAM (expandable to 4 GB), and no web cam!
Cons Non yet. Although friends tell me to stay away from COMPAQ, but I might be able to prove them wrong.
Summary I was looking for a laptop WITHOUT a web cam-almost all of them these days have one. This had good reviews on CNET an I'm glad so far I bought it.

PerformanceSummary I have owned this laptop for about 4 years and it still hasn't broke down. I'm actually quite impressed. The major problem with this laptop is the battery life. Right now I can only last about 1 hour on battery before it dies. I'm a video editor and Photographer so I use a lot of software from Adobe. I have After effects and Photoshop installed. Photoshop runs smoothly along with After effects. But in After effects the ram preview takes a long time due to the fact that the laptop only has a 2Gb ram. If you going to be doing editing and photography I suggest get a better laptop with more ram, storage, and a faster processor. But overall this laptop covers the basics. Pleases with the purchase. But I will be upgrading laptops and leaving this Compaq Presario to the side. RIP .

"Good laptop for the price."
on by micheller21Pros Nice large keyboard, decent wrist rest, love the number key pad to the right, the wi-fi on/off switch, and the big display.
Cons No web cam built in, the battery doesn't seem to last very long, and would like more memory (RAM) built in.
Summary A decent computer for the home user who doesn't do a lot of gaming. My son watches a lot of You Tube on it without problems, the family does web surfing, and it's great for home personal use using Office and other programs.
I didn't like the built-in mouse though, so we bought a small Logitech that works out better for us. I also have a small external hard drive that I store large programs, downloads, pictures, music and files on, and that seems to keep the hard drive running at optimal performance.
