"Great laptop for the price!"
Pros
Powerful hardware for the price. Solid build. Nice (smaller) size. Very portable. Backlit keys option is a must-have! Dell webcam and software work great. A well though-out machine for the price.
Cons
No optical drive is annoying but understood since the size is great. Would've liked to see an external drive come standard or maybe at a discount. $100 for a Dell-brand DVD burner/reader is asking a lot when you can pick one up at the store for $80.

The hardware included in this laptop is phenomenal for the price. You have to pay extra for certain features like Bluetooth, wireless-n, backlit keys, higher resolution screen, etc... but I personally liked this since I could pick and choose what I wanted to pay extra for, and considering the low base price I don't see it as a major issue. The nvidia 9400m G is a terrific video card that is found in the macbook and macbook pro. Vista Home Premium allows you to throttle computer performance based on what you're doing. This means you can choose to have Windows underclock your hardware when running on battery to improve battery life or have it push your parts all the way when plugged into the wall. I am very satisfied with this purchase even though I was originally skeptical when I placed the order.
