"WUXGA Discontinued"
onPros I am pricing out a new 9200 to replace my 8600 and notice in Dell's configurator that you can no longer order the uxga. Highest resolution offered today (2-19) is 1440 x 900. My company has owned 3 dell notebooks, a sony and an HP. Dells, their support

Cons Screen "frosting" or "sparkling" issues. The laptops major asset becomes its liability as poor vendor quality control slips through. Dell doesn't want to admit or fix "Sparkle" issue. Return computer if screen has "sparkle" effect. Look to Toshiba or on | Read full review

Cons The deal breaker on this notebook for me and for a lot of people is the screen. I ordered the WUXGA to complement the powerful graphics card. This screen is so difficult to read from because the text is litterally microscopic. I'm really surprised tha on | Read full review

Cons At first I was seeing what everyone was talking about the fuzziness but you can go to monitor settings and lower the dpi from 120 to 96dpi for a much more crisp look and keeping the 1920 x 1200 res on | Read full review

Cons Everything is useless if text on white background is unreadable. Some people are getting used to the sandy/grainy/sparkly white background. But I have 7 laptops and this is unacceptable. Returned after 1 week. Indian based call center does not seem to ca on | Read full review

Cons Less readable display than 8600. No docking connector. No stable docking station option, have to reload drivers every time the USB port replicator is plugged in. Sound is not as good as on the 8600, sub-woofer only adds distortion. Audio controls are in t on | Read full review

Cons DVD drive went out within a week, wuxga screen, product support. Touchpad tabs vibrate when playing audio, makes it sound like a speaker is blown out. Very upset with product support. Purchase was a test for a future purchase for company salesforce. Found on | Read full review
