  • "Buy a separate monitor"
    on

Pros Great performance, Good battery, DVD burner.

Cons The screen is unreadbale at native resolution and Dell's service sucks. Has Dell started taking us (customers) for granted? Did the CNET editors actually use this product before writinga review, or did they just look at the spec dished out by Dell.

  • "very cool but replaced"
    on by hijack masta

Pros good battery life, the screen is pretty good, good graphics, and light for the size

Cons it's replaced and yes it is king of sparky, the 9300 fixed all the problems

Summary I have seen the 9200 in my friends house, it is pretty good but really if you closely see it, you will find out a little part that is sparky, but not a problem for regular users and gamers unless you are really picky. And the 9300 fixes all the problems although the battery life is about 5 mins weaker than the 9200, mine 9300 came with a 17 inch wxga widescreen, 64 meg ati, bluetooth, 6 cell battery, 15 month subscription for mc afee, and everything seems great although i've only seen it on the direct store but never got it yet.And the inspiron 9300 also has all the feature that a 9200 does and a cooler look. The most top line is that it is only 999 bucks starting price.

  • "Good computer bad screen"
    on

Pros Nice design, good audio, fast hard drive (7200rpm)and good battery

Cons Screen, screen and screen. I can't stand the screen Dell offer. The machine itself is great but the screen ruined it. I have to return it

  • "17" WUXGA is adjustable"
    on

Pros Widescreen 17inch, smooth, fast, not to heavy. Dont believe the complaints of the fuzziness, the display is adjustable by res and dpi

Cons At first I was seeing what everyone was talking about the fuzziness but you can go to monitor settings and lower the dpi from 120 to 96dpi for a much more crisp look and keeping the 1920 x 1200 res

  • "WUXGA white BG is like sandpaper"
    on

Pros price, cpu, hard drive, dvdr, 17" size, and weight. WSXGA+ 1440 res is said to be excellent.

Cons Everything is useless if text on white background is unreadable. Some people are getting used to the sandy/grainy/sparkly white background. But I have 7 laptops and this is unacceptable. Returned after 1 week. Indian based call center does not seem to ca
