Pros None that I can think of.
Cons In less than 1 month, first computer broke down. Motherboard, screen. Tech came out, replaced everything, it died again one week later. Shipped back and forth multiple times, 3 seperate computers later, and once again the computer is dead!
Summary DON"T BUY A DELL!!! Customer service is terrible. Have had a functioning computer all of 6 months out of the past nine. Everytime it breaks down, which is pretty much every other month, it takes 4-6 weeks to repair. No one returns calls, tech services can't fix it. Big waste of time and money!!Still using an old Gateway desk top from 2000, never had a problem with it. DELL Laptop is the worst!!!! RUN AWAY, don't waste your money
Pros None so far...
Cons Slow performance
Often freezes at startup
Worst customer service
Summary Never Buy Dell!!
Pros The price ($429), got it for "Back to school".
Performance for the value - Core i5, 4 GB RAM, 500GB HDD.
Cons Wifi card has some issues connecting to some routers.
Touchpad sometimes is jerky.
Summary For $429, it's a great value laptop, but Dell's gotta fix their trackpad, as sometimes it jerks around.
Cons motherboard died
Summary after 28 days the motherboard died. i took it back to bestbuy and it was repaired under warranty. no problems and running great since. i paid $579 for the i5 processor, 6g ram and 640g hdd. it is a little cheap looking (all plastic) but it doesn't cost $1800. it feels solid, though. it's fast and can multi-task with ease. can't comment on how it would handle games as i'm not into gaming. for things like internet browsing, email and word processing it can't be beat. i just hope it lasts as long as my other dell which i've had for 5 years.
Pros Screen is awesome, lots of inputs. I love the bluetooth. Very stylish. I love the switch lid option.
Cons Can't think of anything, only had it for a week.
Summary After much research and not wanting to go beyond beyond the six hundred dollar mark I choose the Dell 15R with the Intel i5 2.5 processor with turbo boost, this came with the 500 gb HDD and 6 gb of Ram. Dell happen to have this particular setup on sell for $599, so I jumped on it. I didn't choose any options other than a cool lid to switch. Right out of the box it has work flawlessly. I got rid of all the bloatware/trialware stuff even the anti-virus subscription.
