  • "Excellent Product"
    on by metaflux317

Pros Good for daily work, portable, light, slightly bigger screen compared to the other asus products

Cons Again, cramped keyboard and the new touchpad does not suit my style

  • "Compact and neat, 2 drives? not for the novice!"
    on by Martinc77

Pros It is small, light, well made and built for travel!

Cons I only found out after the purchase, that it had 2 drives C: & D: as a novice to Notebooks, I do not need the hastle of working out, where to store my programs.
I downloaded Norton 360 before using and the C: drive was full, this a big no no for me.

Summary As a International Business Traveler, I want a notebook that is small, lightweight and simple to use !
This machine has 2 drives, C: & D: and as a relative novice, I do not have the time, experience, nor the inclination to work out how to store various basic programs that I would want to install on the machine.
All I want to do is load my basic programs onto one drive and go, the KISS principle applies here, as far as I am concerned.
Other wise the machine looks the part, it is small and portable, but the drive issue kills it for me. Maybe for the more technically inclined it will work! but for me I cannot for the life of me, understand why 2 drives are installed.
This will also kill it froma sales perspective, as business people I know, will steer away from for this reason and rather go for a simple one drive, monkey see! monkey do drive. Time is of the essence and this is simply a complexity that no one needs.

  • "Useless netbook."
    on by camelgirl65

Pros Small, long battery life. Fantastic tech service, easily reached.

Cons As a FAST touch typist the tiny keyboard was a nightmare. The touchpad is so overly sensitive it has a life of it's own & you never know where you are "clicking." C & D drives inefficient.

Summary I was so excited to get this to use for traveling. I had it for 2 days & I RETURNED IT. Absolutely infuriating to use because of the tiny keyboard & overly sensitive mousepad which cannot be adjusted without downloading new drivers (according to Asus techies). I didn't like the way the C & D drive are organized. The C drive & D drive make downloading a real problem. The downloads go automatically to C drive but there is very little memory on C. They need to go to D. I used up the C memory by downloading Netflix viewer. Then when I moved it to D, I couldn't delete it from C.

I will not buy another Netbook, they are cute but useless.

Pros Battery Life, Speed, and features make this a winner

Cons the keyboard is for munchkins

    Summary I love it

  • "not better then ACER ASPIRE ONE"
    on by riz786123

    Pros alright its small, cheap

Cons too small hardrive, for cheaper price and better looking get the ACER ASPIRE ONE which comes with 120Gb hardrive and 1Gb ram for less then $500.

Summary For the same price, there are better small ultra laptops.
eg ACER ASPIRE ONE and a new one came out today
