Pros

-- Beautfil full 1080p graphics.
-- Excellant sound system for a laptop.
-- Great multimedia machine.
-- Fast and efficient for anything but high-end gaming.
-- User experience is top-nothc.
-- High quality build.

Cons

-- You can get the same specs in a laptop for much less.
-- Very exdpensive--but it's an Apple and they are expensive.
-- Only 4 GIG RAM standard. Should be more for the price.
-- Uprades can be ridiculously expensive.
-- No Blue-Ray player.

It's an Apple, which means you are going to get a sleek and sexy machine with a superb display and quality components. It also means it's going to be a whole lot more expensive than the competition. Given the price, asking for at least 8 GIG of RAM is not too much to expect. Apple wants $199 to upgrade to 8 from 4, which is insane given that one can get a 8 GIG wafer for $49 and install it yourself. Sound quality is impressive. I have found that the realistic battery life is about 5 hours with heavy use, despite the claim of 7.

There are faster laptops out there, but not a whole lot, unless you go to a dedicated gaming laptop. There are also very few laptops to choose from that offer this resolution, screen quality, and size. You can also find the same technical specs on a laptop for about 1/2 as much. But the user experience and quality of the display and the device itself will usually often not compare to what you find on the Macbook. No brittle plastic here or screens that fade with use or display funky color issues.

If you can get past the price, you likely will not be dissapointed.
