Pros Windows 8's touch interface is fast, fluid, easy to use, and geared for productivity. Coupled with an Intel i5 processor it can work as hard as it plays.

Cons To be blunt, it's heavy. Stuffing a laptop in to an aluminum backed touchscreen has it's weighty drawbacks. Even though laptops can be heavier they are usually in, well, your lap, and not being held. Thank you Acer for the Folio case and dock.

Summary If you spend most of your computer time on the internet or in word documents and you are looking to replace a large, clunky laptop or desktop with something more mobile that will still run your Windows programs while being touch friendly, then this should be on your list. This truly defines what a Slate is. It's a full Windows 8 operating system and not RT with laptop or ultra book innards crammed into a 2.1 pound slab of metal and gorilla glass. Nice work Acer/Microsoft! I give it a A-.
