  • "Product released defective"
    on by imanym

    Pros Excellent form factor
    Solid feel
    AWESOME Battery Life!!

Cons Trackpad was extremely bad (only moved vertically at time, to often)
Once it went into sleep and was awoke, the wifi and bluetooth no longer worked
    Terrible, terrible support

Summary This was my second try at the Windows 8 hybrid machines. My previous machine was a Lenovo Lynx and the trackpad and keyboard just didn't function. Well fast forward to purchasing this model. I chose this over a Samsung ATIV 510W. I liked the fact that there were 2 batteries and the screen size was perfect. The only place where this device failed was the trackpad and the keyboard. In my opinion this device was released with hardware defects. I read the posts left by other consumers and they had the same problem. I did notice a couple of buyers that stated that they didnt have the problem on their device and that the manufactured date was 2013 (mine was 2012). I did call Acer and right away they said I had to send the device in. I also had to pay for shipping (the device was only 2 days old). I really contemplated sending it to them, but ultimately I decided that returning it was the right thing to do. I would not recommend this product to anyone, I know that if this was HP, they would have sent me the box free of charge, and if that was the case, I would have still had the Acer Iconia.
Other than that the tablet was pretty good, the only problem was that it would not hold the wifi and bluetooth after coming from sleep. This added to the decision as I was not able to use my external mouse and keyboard either. The size of the device was awesome and the battery is and was thee most awesome combination. I kid you knot, I got a day and a half from this machine with no charge (tested).

  • "Great tablet especially for the $399 price (w/o KYB)!"
    on by SteveW_Intel

    Pros Great battery life
    Full Win8 version
    Light weight tablet
    Great screen display and resolution
    8MP rear camera
    HDMI capability

Cons Going to run out of space with the 32G - need the 64G version!

Summary Using full Win8 version of this tablet vs. Win RT is such a huge plus! I can run so many more applications, including basic ones such as iTunes. Screen resolution and picture quality is very good. I've been nothing but happy with this #IntelTablet!
