Cons speakers could be nicer
Summary Acer did a great job on this one.

"HDD failure"
onPros good dvd drive, and fast video card. great for graphic programs.
Cons left palm area gets very hot. don't put this on your lap. it blocks the CPU fan grill. My Hdd failed after i heard click sounds come from the drive. tried to recover at the lab. not recoverable. When I sent it in for service, there were 2 other 3200'

"Sexy on the outside, but lousy on the inside"
on by hogreviewsPros awsome outside and inside looks, curved keyboar, and lots of ports
Cons HEAVY, not too sturdy, disks tend to get stuck in drive.
Summary If you are a teenager, who wants to take their sexy re laptop everywhere they go, find a different sexy red laptop, if u would stay at home and just write reports, and play a few games on it, than this laptop is, an okay choice. But be careful of the disc drive, if you wear it out, discs may not come out all the way. I do not bother about talking to buisness people aboput this laptop, because honestly, do you really care if everyone turns their head to look at your laptop? And it does not have enough memory to store half a years work on it. So take this advice from the picky reviwer.

"Great value"
on by igreg--2008Pros Athlon 64 processor, fast Radeon 9700 graphics
Cons Hard drive; could use more RAM
Summary The laptop is very fast. Runs Half-Life 2 and CS:Source great! With wireless, gigabit LAN, 4 USB2.0 ports, FireWire, IR, and Bluetooth standard, this laptop provides excellent value for the price. Also a plus is that is comes with Windows XP Pro standard, not Home. And there's a DVD writer.
However, my original hard drive (a Toshiba) failed after a few months. Replaced under warranty by Acer very quickly with a Hitachi drive that is a lot quieter, cooler, and faster (even though it is still the same RPM speed drive). It seems the Toshiba drive has been giving a lot of people problems. -
"A true digital hub!"
onPros With the four USB 2.0 ports, fast and reliable DVDRW, wireless options and the decent video card, this gives me everything I need for my uses and more
Cons Hard drive is slow, no doubt about it, and the battery life is abysmal
