Pros

Boots fully on in less than 30 seconds
Battery Life is good for about 4hrs using the internet and streaming media
Computer runs very smoothly
Bright display
Fast DVD Burner

Cons

Power button is in an awkward spot and very sensitive.
DVD/CD tray is very sensitive and opens almost every time I move the laptop.
Speakers are low.

Summary

This is a great everyday use computer with some really decent and fast speeds. I purchased this laptop at Target for a basic laptop not expecting much out of it for the price. However, I would have to say I was wrong. This laptop is better than any of the ... Read full review

This is a great everyday use computer with some really decent and fast speeds. I purchased this laptop at Target for a basic laptop not expecting much out of it for the price. However, I would have to say I was wrong. This laptop is better than any of the laptops I've purchased from Best Buy, Fry's, etc. for a fraction of the cost. This is a really good laptop with great battery life, bright display, and many more things. I was so satisfied with my purchase I went out and bought 2 more for family members.

"Works great, light, boots quick, long battery life."

4 stars  | on by Jim_Welke

Pros

Good battery, bright screen, plenty fast for all but the biggest processor and memory hogs.

Cons

The power button is kind of a drag... if you don't remember it's there and pick up the laptop with your thumb on the power button, the machine merrily shuts down while you spew profanity...

Summary

These laptops are as good as any out there, and substantially cheaper, so go for it.

Keyboard is fine despite some negative reviews out there, mouse can be configured easily enough to eliminate annoying features and oversensitivity.

The review above mentioned speakers being "low" -- I believed the same thing ... Read full review

Keyboard is fine despite some negative reviews out there, mouse can be configured easily enough to eliminate annoying features and oversensitivity.

The review above mentioned speakers being "low" -- I believed the same thing for a couple of months until I finally got around to opening "Dolby Advanced Audio" in the tool tray. Reduce volume leveler and the volume cranks right up...

I think my battery lasts about 2.5 hours with wi-fi on and video streaming... but don't quote me. You'll probably get through a full length feature on Netflix.

Also, these laptops are quite light, which is meaningful when you lug it around in a backpack while riding a bicycle.

Peace.
