Last week Google announced it had incorporated a very powerful and long overdue feature to its search platform: a tip calculator. That's right, you can now use a Google search either through the Web site or via Google Now to calculate the proper tip amount.

Using the tip calculator couldn't be easier. Simply launch Google Now, the Google Search app on iOS, or your preferred browser and point it to Google.com.

Next you'll need to type in "what is the tip for ___ dollars". After submitting the search, you'll find a calculator that provides the option to adjust the number of parties splitting the tab, as well as the option to increase or decrease the tip percentage from the default of 15%.

After all of the calculating is done, Google will give you the respective totals. It's that easy.

Of course, Google is full of other useful features such as this one, you just have to know what they are. Luckily Dan Graziano has rounded up some of the best features and shows you how to get the most out of Google in this post. Trust me, it's worth a read or two.
